Content

  1. Components and layouts have been tested using real content (images and text) instead of placeholder content in designs. Handed off designs can still use representative placeholder content, but real content should be used to stress test the designs.
  2. Content does not have any spelling or grammatical errors.
  3. Content is clear, consistent, and brief.
  4. Calls-to-action and link text make sense on their own and avoid ambiguous language, such as: click here, more, or continue.
  5. Content follows a logical reading order and hierarchical structure.
  6. Form inputs and icon buttons have labels.

Interactions

  1. All interactive states are accounted for and included as variants.

    Controls Feedback

  2. Auto-playing or moving content (video, audio or looped animations) has a play / pause control.

  3. All states of a component meet color contrast standards.

  4. Functionality, animations and transitions are conveyed in the designs through prototyping, multiple screen examples, or documentation.

Stress Tests

  1. Components have been stress tested and include designs that account for the necessary stress cases

    Complete Multi Line None
Excessive Multi Lines End of Object Group
    Truncated

  2. Layers / components have descriptive names
  3. Frame contents are organized appropriately
  4. All comments in the handoff document are resolved
  5. Assets have been exported, optimized for their platform and included with Handoff documentation
